It all started in 2012 at a Japanese restaurant. We eagerly placed our order, only to find the menu filled entirely with katakana and hiragana—no pictures, no descriptions. Despite our love for Japanese cuisine, we had no idea what we were ordering. The experience was frustrating and confusing, far from the dining experience we had hoped for. That moment sparked an idea: What if restaurant ordering could be simple, clear, and accessible to everyone—regardless of language or menu format? This is how QRfood was born. Japanese restaurants are renowned for their exceptional service—but during busy lunch and dinner hours, things can get incredibly hectic. Staff juggle multiple roles: taking orders, serving dishes, clearing tables, handling payments, and greeting guests. The work never stops. Then, an idea flashed: What if we created a digital menu? With just a simple QR code on the table, customers could browse a complete menu with images, descriptions, and translations. They would know exactly what they were ordering. At the same time, this would reduce staff workload, freeing them from taking orders one by one so they could focus on delivering excellent service. In 2024, we brought QRfood to the world. In 2025, we fully integrated AI into QRfood's services. Through our new service and R&D center, we are committed to supporting food and beverage businesses worldwide and the growing community of international travelers. Exciting things are coming!
